7:05 PM Los Angeles Angels @ Baltimore Orioles

Angels
: +100
Orioles
: -110
Total
: 8.5

The Orioles look to extend their winning streak to a season-high 5 games when they open a 4-game series against the visiting LA Angels. The Orioles recorded their first series sweep in nearly a year with a 2-1 win over the Rangers yesterday. The Angels just snapped a 4-game skid with a 5-2 victory over the Miami Marlins. The Orioles will start right-hander Jordan Lyles (4-7, 4.70 ERA) who hasn’t been able to get a win in his last 3 starts. In his last outing, Lyles received a no-decision after allowing 1 run on 4 hits in 6 1/3 innings at Minnesota. Lyles has a 3-4 record with a 7.17 ERA and a 1.67 WHIP in 9 career appearances against the Angels. The Angels will counter with rookie right-hander Chase Silseth (1-2, 5.23 ERA) had a decent start against the White Sox for 4 innings but then Chicago got to him in the 5th after allowing 3 runs on 5 hits in just 4 1/3 innings but didn’t get a decision. Silseth has yet to face the Orioles yet in his career.

⚾Mike Trout has crushed Lyles, going 8-for-18 with 5 extra-base hits and 5 RBIs.

⚾The Angels have a team career batting average of .422 against Lyles with 20 hits in 49 at-bats.

⚾The Orioles are 0-6 in Lyles’ last 6 starts on grass.

⚾The Orioles are 0-4 in Lyles’ last 4 starts after allowing 2 runs or less in their previous game.

D’Backs
: +100

: 9.5

The Diamondbacks blew a 4-0 lead and ended up losing 7-5 to the Giants on Wednesday, while the Rockies lost 2-1 loss against the Dodgers. Colorado scored just 6 runs while being swept in three games by the Dodgers. Arizona was looking for a sweep against the Giants but sabotaged that opportunity by allowing 2 runs in the 8th inning and 3 in the 9th inning yesterday. The D’Backs will start left-hander Dallas Keuchel (2-6, 8.27 ERA overall) will be making his 3rd start since joining the Diamondbacks and his first 2 outings didn’t go well as he gave up 11 runs, 12 hits, and 6 walks in just 9 1/3 innings. Keuchel received a no-decision against the Detroit Tigers in his Arizona debut on June 26 and then lost to the Rockies last Saturday in Denver when he gave up 7 runs and 6 hits in 5 innings against the Rockies. Keuchel is 1-1 with a 6.94 ERA in 2 career starts against Colorado. The Rockies will counter with left-hander Austin Gomber (4-7, 6.53) who defeated the D’backs when he was matched against Keuchel last Saturday. He gave up 4 runs and 6 hits over 5 2/3 innings in Denver. Gomber is 2-0 with a 4.67 ERA in 4 career appearances against Arizona.

⚾The D’backs are 4-0 in their last 4 home games vs. a left-handed starter.

⚾The Rockies are 1-4 in the last 5 meetings in Arizona.

⚾The Rockies are 12-25 on the road this season.

⚾The D’Backs are 5-2 at home in the last 7 games.
