The New York Rangers are going for their 3rd straight win to start the season when they visit the Winnipeg tonight. After making the Western Conference finals in 2018, the Jets stumbled to 39-32-11 last year, finishing 6th in the Central Division. Coach Paul Maurice resigned in December and replacement Dave Lowry was unable to spur the team into the playoffs and then the Jets hired Rick Bowness, who began his coaching career in the Jets minor league system and later served as assistant with the Jets. New York appears to be picking up where it left off following its run to the Eastern Conference finals last year and heads into Winnipeg after a 7-3 win over the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night.
