EMAILED ON April 11, 2022

MLB Baseball Betting for April 11, 2022

2:10 p.m. ET: Cleveland Guardians  (1-2) at Kansas City Royals (2-1)

Odds: Guardians -110 / Royals -110
Over/Under:  8.5 -115 / -105

The Royals will try to take the four-game series to open the season. The Royals won two tight games to start the season before Cleveland pounded the Royals 17-3 on Sunday. The Guardians put up a lot of runs yesterday but that is something we won’t see often from this weak offensive lineup. Hernandez flashed some solid stuff on the mound as a rookie. The Guardians have only seen Hernandez twice a few times at the plate giving Hernandez the advantage. He does have control issues but if he can limit his walks he has the potential to dominate with K’s. The Royals have a career team batting average of .271 with 15 hits in 53 at-bats against Civale with Benintendi (.500), Dozier (.375), Merrifield (.333), and Perez (.500) leading the team. The Royals have the better lineup with several young talented players that should be focused after yesterday’s blowout to get the win.

The Bookie:          Royals -110
1.1 Units to win 1 Unit on the Royals to win.

4:05 p.m. ET: Colorado Rockies vs (2-1) at Texas Rangers (1-2)

Odds: Rockies +115 / Rangers -125
Over/Under:  10 -105/-115

The Texas Rangers were a busy team this offseason adding shortstop Corey Seager, second baseman Marcus Semien, outfielder Kole Calhoun and starter Jon Gray through free agency. The Rangers’ offense was dominant in the opening series against the Blue Jays putting up 23 runs in 3 games. Colorado beat the Dodgers in 2 out of 3 games at home over the weekend but the Rockies were terrible on the road last season. They went 26-54 away from Coors Field. Texas will send Taylor Hearn to the mound against Colorado’s Austin Gomber. Hearn has faced the Rockies twice in his career but only in relief and has a 6.00 ERA. Gomber finished 9-9 with a 4.53 ERA in a career-high 23 starts in 2021. It was his first season with the Rockies. He is 1-1 with a 3.48 ERA in two career starts against the Rangers. You can expect the Rockies to struggle on the road again all season and the Rangers offense should be able to put up enough runs to get the home-opening win.

The Bookie:         Rangers -125
1.25 Units to win 1 Unit on the Rangers to win.
