LSU Tigers vs Florida Gators – NCAA College Basketball Prediction

7:00 p.m. ET: LSU Tigers (14-1) at Florida Gators (9-5)

Spread: Florida -2.5
Total: 138.5

Two SEC teams meet as #12 LSU visits Florida in a conference battle. LSU has 2 wins and 1 loss against ranked opponents this season, while Florida has won one of three games against ranked teams. Florida’s Colin Castleton has put up 15.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks to lead the way for the Gators. Complementing Castleton is Phlandrous Fleming Jr., who is putting up 10.6 points per game. The Tigers have been led by Tari Eason, who is averaging 15.1 points and 7.1 rebounds. LSU, which lost 70-55 at then-No. 11 Auburn in its conference opener, is coming off consecutive home victories against then-No. 16 Kentucky (65-60) and then-No. 18 Tennessee (79-67) last week. The Gators, who lost to then-No. 15 Alabama in their league opener, outscored Auburn 21-2 in second-chance points and scored 22 points off 16 turnovers, but they couldn’t overcome Auburn’s 53.6 percent shooting from the floor. The Gators are getting only 30% of the bets but bringing in over 60% of the money. We also have early sharp money hitting the Gators. After their tough loss to Auburn, you can expect this team to be ready to win on their home floor. LSU has been good this year but this is a good let-down spot. Take the Gators and the Over in this one.

Trends

  • The Road team is 5-2-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings.
