Houston Astros vs Atlanta Braves – MLB World Series Prediction

8:15 p.m. ET: Houston Astros (103-73) at Atlanta Braves  (98-77)

Odds: Astros -115 / Braves -105
Total:  8.5 -110 / -110

The Braves haven’t decided who their Game 5 starter will be after Charlie Morton will miss the rest of the series. Max Fried said he was willing to take the mound on short rest, but manager Brian Snitker did not announce his pitcher yet so it could be another bullpen game. The Braves bullpen has been solid but they are getting used a lot. The Astros are sending Game 1 starter Framber Valdez to the mound Sunday. Valdez was touched for 5 runs over 2 innings in Game 1, giving up 8 hits along with home runs from Soler and Duvall. Valdez already has 8 postseason appearances over the past two seasons and is 4-2 with a 3.73 ERA. Valdez has a better road record than home record and with the season on the line, you can expect Houston to use everything they can to take the series back to Texas. The Astros have been dormant offensively as far as runs scored but they are leaving a lot of runners on base. Considering this Houston team has one of the best offenses all season long, you know the bats are going to connect at some point. Today is the day you see a lot more aggressive swinging from the Astros on the potential full bullpen of Atlanta. Take the Astros to get the win tonight.
