The 2k Empire Classic resumes with the winners from yesterday’s games. The #1 Duke Blue Devils face the Georgetown Hoyas. The Hoyas put a beatdown on Texas yesterday by a score of 82-66.  Duke did the same to California by a score of 87-52.  These teams last met back in 2015 with Duke winning 86-84.

SUMMARY

This should be a fast-paced high-scoring game with plenty of offense however the Duke’s defense should be able to keep Georgetown from putting up their usual 80 points per game. Duke’s defensive pressure should force a lot of turnovers and give Georgetown a hard time getting into their offense. Georgetown will have a size advantage but Duke’s offensive attack should be able to put Georgetown into foul trouble as well and give them the advantage in the final minutes to cover the spread.
