The Pirates lost their recent series to the red hot Cubs which is much more acceptable. Trevor Story is most likely going to miss this game which is a huge blow to the struggling Rockies but you will want to confirm this once the lineups are released. The Rockies are 3-20 on the road this year. The Pirates have had success against Colorado including five straight wins and a 22-11 record dating to 2015. The Pirates hitters have a .351 team batting average against the Rockies’ Gray. The Pirates also have the better bullpen who has been shutting teams down after the starters fail to do the job. Look for the Pirates to be hungry to get a win in this game coming off a series loss to the Cubs and facing a team and pitcher that they have had a lot of success against. If Story plays this will be downgraded to a 1 unit play but If Story is out this will be a 2 unit play.
