San Francisco will start right-hander Logan Webb (10-3, 2.79 ERA) to try to get the Giants’ 100th win. The Padres (76-75) are going with All-Star righty Yu Darvish (8-10, 4.13). In his past 17 starts, Webb has gone 9-0 with a 1.97 ERA dating back to May 11. His only head-to-head with the Padres this season occurred April 30 in San Diego, with Webb taking one of his three losses in a 3-2 defeat. Darvish was bombed by the Giants on Sept. 13 in San Francisco, giving up 8 runs in 4 innings in a 9-1 beatdown. That was his only loss in six lifetime starts versus the Giants, against whom he has gone 2-1 with a 5.19 ERA. The Padres have a career team batting average of .364 with 16 hits in just 44 at-bats. The Padres are struggling but Darvish threw a gem his last time out against the Cardinals. Look for the Padres to break the losing streak today and get the win.
