The Phillies lost both games of the doubleheader and they are sliding out of the playoff spot quickly losing 4 straight. The Phillies will have to win this game to keep their playoff chances alive so you can expect them to show up to play. After a few good games, yesterday expect Washington to regress today. The Phillies are the better team, with the better starting pitcher, that NEEDS to win more.

The Reds and the Brewers are battling for a spot in the playoffs. The Reds took the first game and the Brewers snagged the 2nd game but today Trevor Bauer is on the mound. Bauer has been dominant this season except one of his losses came to the Brewers so he should show up more focused for this one. The Reds play better at home, the Reds have the better starting pitcher, and the Reds need this win to stay in the playoff picture.

The Cubs lost on a walk-off homer in the bottom of the 10th. The Cubs still sealed the deal on a playoff spot but they are still competing for the Division Title as well as the #2 Spot in the National League playoff picture. With Kyle Hendrix on the mound, you can expect Pittsburgh to struggle to put up runs but with Pittsburgh’s Trevor Williams, you can expect the Cubs to bang him around. The Cubs have a .306 batting average against Williams and will be looking forward to this matchup to get their offense rolling again.
