The Temple Owls hope to snap their three-game losing streak when they travel to Tampa, Florida to face the USF Bulls. The South Florida Bulls will be going for their second consecutive win when they take on the Owls. A potentially special season for Temple is beginning to slip away. The Owls have allowed 108 points in losing their last two games and badly need to stop the bleeding.

After the Owls, 5-1 start to the season they will be trying to become bowl eligible with a win over the Bulls. They will also be trying to pick up their second consecutive win over the Bulls. Temple hasn’t played well defensively over their last two games, giving up 54 points per game in those games. South Florida’s defense is giving up 28.4 points per game.  The Bulls are, averaging 29.9 points per game. The Owls have given up 291.5 rushing yards per game over their last two games, so you can expect the Bulls to try to run the ball as much as possible. 

The Owls face a Bulls’ defense that hasn’t been great at stopping the run either.  The Owls weakness in their previous losses was because their running game and you can look for them to try to correct that tonight against a weak defense. Look for Temple to try to control the tempo of the game with its rushing attack. If they are able to accomplish this they will pull out the W.  Whichever defense stops the running game wins this one. It comes down if the Owls play as they did at the beginning of the year or if the latest Temple trends continue. 

Based on the line movement and the sports betting public has been hammering Temple, but USF could be able to pull off this upset. The better team is a downward trending Temple and whichever team stops the run game wins this one.
