The Nationals cashed big for dog bettors in Game 6 of the World Series. They upset the Astros 7-2 as +160 underdogs to force a winner-take-all Game 7. The road team has won all 6 games so far in the 2019 World Series. And guess what? This is the first time in pro sports history that the road team has gone 6-0 in the first 6 games of a seven-game playoff series.
Both teams have not had a lot of success against tonight’s starting pitchers but the big question will be if Scherzer is healthy after being scratched from his Game 5 start. Some are calling it a conspiracy to set him up for game 7 but no one in their right mind would risk losing a game to setup a game 7. With that being said, Scherzer most likely is facing some pains but at this point in the season almost every player is also. This is the last game of the year so you can expect all players to give every thing they have and leave it all on the field.
Houston Batting Avg against Scherzer : .250 Washington Batting Avg against Greinke : .231
Scherzer has gone 3-0 with a 2.16 ERA this postseason and led the Nats to a 5-4 victory in Game 1 (5 innings, 2 runs, 7 strikeouts). Greinke is 0-2 this postseason with a 5.30 ERA, but the Astros did win Greinke’s Game 3 start 4-1. Greinke went 4.2 innings and gave up 1 run with 6 strikeouts.
Against Scherzer only Alvarez, Gurriel, Brantley, and Altuve have ever had a hit off him. Against Greinke only Zimmerman, Cabrera, Eaton, Robles, Turner, and Rendon have ever hit him but with not very good averages. Cabrera and Eaton lead the way with 2 hits in 3 and 4 at bats.
For a World Series there have been a lot of runs scored. 9, 15, 5, 9, 8, and 9.

The numbers are showing the public is all over the total making the line move at some books from 7 to 7.5. Given the last 6 games the over looks pretty easy but keep in mind they will be going ALL IN here with the pitching. If there is a large amount of runs scored it will be because of what has happened in previous games with 1 big inning. Which team is going to take advantage of that one big inning wins this one. Which pitcher gets tired and makes that first big mistake?
The public has also been all over the moneyline causing it to drop from its opening number at most books. In this series, the AWAY Team has WON every single game. That trend is one reason also Washington appears to be that Cinderella story. They don’t sign a 30 mill/year deal with Bryce Harper and as a result they go on to win the World Series giving every Franchise without giant player salaries hope. Or will Mattress Mack win his huge bet to pay off his promises? We’ll find out tonight!
